دارت معركة بار سور أوب في 27 فبراير 1814 بين الإمبراطورية الفرنسية الأولى والإمبراطورية النمساوية . قاد القوات الفرنسية جاك ماكدونالد ، بينما قاد النمساويون وحلفاؤهم البافاريون والروس، الذين شكلوا جيش بوهيميا ، كارل فيليب فورست زو شوارزنبرغ . وانتصر التحالف.

خلفية

بعد أن هزم نابليون الأول الحلفاء في مونتيرو في 17 فبراير، وأجبرهم على التراجع نحو تروا الواقعة خلف نهر أوب ، اتجه شمالًا إلى وادي المارن في محاولة لعرقلة الزحف المتجدد نحو باريس لجيش سيليزيا (معظمه من البروسيين) بقيادة المشير غيبهارد فون بلوخر ؛ وأُمر المارشالات الذين تركهم خلفه بإيهام الناس بأنه لا يزال معهم. اختبر شوارزنبرغ هذا الافتراض بالتقدم نحو بار سور أوب (جزئيًا لأن ألكسندر الأول إمبراطور روسيا وفريدريك ويليام الثالث ملك بروسيا أرادا منه ذلك)، وفي السادس والعشرين من فبراير، أمر نابليون أودينو بمرافقة شوارزنبرغ إلى المدينة، بالقرب من تروا. معركة

عندما عُلم أن نابليون كان يستعد لمهاجمة جيش سيليزيا، انتهز شوارزنبرغ الفرصة لشن هجوم استباقي على أودينو بفيلق روسي بقيادة الجنرال بيتر فيتغنشتاين وفيلق بافاري بقيادة الجنرال كارل فون فريدي . ورغم أن ماكدونالد كان يتمتع بتفوق عددي في البداية، إلا أن العديد من قواته كانت معزولة عن مسرح المعركة الرئيسي بسبب انتشارها على ضفتي نهر أوب، وبالتالي لم تتمكن من المشاركة، كما أن جزءًا كبيرًا من المدفعية الفرنسية كان عالقًا على الضفة الأخرى من النهر. [ 2 ]

تكبدت القوات الفرنسية، التي بلغ تعدادها حوالي 30 ألف جندي، خسائر بلغت 3100 جندي، أي ما يعادل خسارة تقارب 10.33% من قوتها. في المقابل، تكبدت قوات الحلفاء، التي بلغ تعدادها أيضاً حوالي 30 ألف جندي، 1900 جندي، أي ما يعادل 6.33% من قوتها. تُبرز هذه الأرقام ضراوة المعركة وارتفاع الخسائر النسبية التي تكبدتها القوات الفرنسية مقارنةً بخصومها. التداعيات

أُجبر ماكدونالد على التراجع عبر نهر أوب، لكنه استمر في التراجع خلال الأيام القليلة التالية، مطاردًا من قبل الحلفاء، تاركًا شوارزنبرغ في وضع مفيد، قادرًا على تركيز قواته في تروا بالإضافة إلى الاستيلاء على معابر نهر السين . [ 2 ]

شهد ضابط سلاح الفرسان الروسي، إدواردو فون لوفنستيرن، انتقام البافاريين من المدينة لخسارة كتيبة: "كانت المنازل تُقتحم. النساء والشيوخ يُقتلون، والأطفال يُلقون من الطابق الثاني على الرصيف ويُحطمون." [ 4 ]

في شمال شرق باريس، دخل جيش بروسي معركة غي-آ-تريسميس .
