تشمل الخصائص الديموغرافية لسكان زامبيا الكثافة السكانية ، والعرق ، ومستوى التعليم ، وصحة السكان، والوضع الاقتصادي ، والانتماءات الدينية، وجوانب أخرى من السكان .

At national level, the TFR was highest among women with no religious affiliation at 6.5. Among the women with religious affiliation Protestants had the highest TFR of 6.0, followed by Muslims with 5.9 and Catholics with 5.7.^[11]^[12]

الجماعات العرقية

تُعدّ زامبيا من أكثر دول أفريقيا جنوب الصحراء تحضراً، حيث يتركز 44% من السكان في عدد قليل من المناطق الحضرية على طول ممرات النقل الرئيسية، بينما تتميز المناطق الريفية بكثافة سكانية منخفضة. يتألف سكان زامبيا من أكثر من 72 مجموعة عرقية ناطقة باللغات البانتوية . بعض هذه المجموعات صغيرة، واثنتان فقط منها تضمّان ما يكفي من الأفراد لتشكيل 10% على الأقل من السكان. غالبية الزامبيين مزارعون يعتمدون على زراعة الكفاف ، إلا أن البلاد تشهد أيضاً تحضراً ملحوظاً ، حيث يقطن 42% من السكان المدن . الدين السائد هو مزيج من المعتقدات التقليدية والمسيحية . ^[¹⁵^]
