إليويس ينسن

إليويس ينسن (5 نوفمبر 1922 - 14 فبراير 2004) مصممة أزياء أمريكية للأفلام والتلفزيون . حازت على جائزة الأوسكار عن تصميمها لأزياء فيلم "شمشون ودليلة" (1949) من إنتاج سيسيل بي. ديميل ، ورُشّحت لجائزة الأوسكار عن عملها في فيلم "ترون" (1982) من إنتاج استوديوهات والت ديزني . ^{[ 1 ]}

وُلدت جينسن في بالو ألتو، كاليفورنيا . التحقت بمدرسة ويستليك للبنات قبل أن تنتقل إلى باريس لدراسة تصميم الأزياء في قسم بارسونز للتصميم التابع لجامعة نيو سكول . عادت إلى كاليفورنيا بعد اندلاع الحرب العالمية الثانية والتحقت بمعهد شوينارد للفنون .

بدأت مسيرتها السينمائية كمساعدة مصممة أزياء في شركة إنتاج هانت سترومبرغ، وحصلت على أول اعتماد لها في تصميم أزياء هيدي لامار في فيلم "السيدة المشوهة" عام 1947. كما صممت أزياء فيلم " المُغرى " من بطولة لوسيل بول، ومن هنا بدأت علاقة تعاون أدت في النهاية إلى تصميم أزياء مسلسل " أحب لوسي" . في عام 1948، عُرض تصميمها لمعطف صوف أبيض، مُدفأ كهربائياً ببطاريات موضوعة في جيبين جانبيين (مع سلك تمديد يمكن توصيله بالطائرات أو القطارات)، في عرض أزياء مستقبلي برعاية مجموعة لوس أنجلوس للأزياء. ^{[ 2 ]}

In 1951, Lucille Ball approached Jenssen and asked her if she would be interested in designing costumes for a new situation comedy she and her husband Desi Arnaz were readying for CBS. Under exclusive contract to 20th Century Fox at the time, she was unable to accept the offer, but after leaving the studio to freelance, she spent a season designing clothing for Ann Sothern on Private Secretary, then contacted Ball to see if the position on I Love Lucy was available. She was hired at $100 per episode, considerably less than her feature film salary, one week before the filming of the 1953-54 season began, and the following season her salary increased to $150. When she held out for $200 the next year, cost-conscious executives at Desilu replaced her.^[3] Her later television credits included designs for Julie Newmar in My Living Doll and Eleanor Parker in Bracken's World.
